REFINE (2017-2022)
The project goal was to demonstrate the relevance of the framework for the most pressing regulatory challenges in nanomedicine. Identifying, mapping, and matching of open regulatory challenges / needs together with the rationalisation of testing strategies resulted in the extraction and categorization of regulatory requirements (White Paper).
Results of the project were published and peer-reviewed in the REFINE special issue in DDTR to be accessible for different stakeholders. Based on the compiled information with the goal to support developers in the identification of the best fitting testing strategy for their respective material, REFINE developed a user-friendly web-based REFINE Decision Support System (DSS).
BioMS was responsible for the coordination of the REFINE project as well as the organisation of the ecosystem building and maintenance for trans regulatory knowledge exchange with different communities beside nanomedicine.
